Picasa is a must have free software for photography fans. It works in various ways as a photo editor and viewer to manage and edit digital photos. Available and aimed at beginners, it’s easy to use Picasa’s photo editing tools to add images, remove red eye, and correct color contrasts. Is Picasa still available despite its shutdown? Although Picasa is no longer available, it is still available for download and offline use. Picasa was developed in 2002 by a company called Lifescape. In July 2004, Google acquired Picasa and began offering it as free software. However, in February 2016, Google announced that it would end support for Picasa Desktop and Web Albums. Picasa Web Albums, a user-friendly service, closed in May (function () {(‘review-app-page-desktop’);}); Even so, Picasa is still available and will continue to work anywhere if it is already installed. It works great with Windows 10, although there won’t be any new updates. However, the Picasa app has stopped working online, so you won’t be able to add or sync an album, or someone will be available for Mac as well. Alternatives to Picasa As an alternative to Picasa, Google recommends using the Google Photos service to create albums, share photos, edit photos, and find your photos. There are also other alternatives to Picasa. For a basic image editor, Fotobounce works well, although the interface is not very user-friendly. FastStone Image Viewer is both a photo viewer and an editor, but it lacks the advanced editing capabilities of Picasa. Ribbet Photo Editor offers a wide range of photo editing services on platforms. IrfanView enables consistent photo viewing and editing (and group editing), while ACDSee is photo editing, viewing, and editing software. For those who want more powerful photo editing, Adobe Photoshop is one of the most advanced and popular photo editing programs in the world. Adobe Photoshop Lightroom, on the other hand, is simple and easy to use, but still has advanced features. What can I do with Picasa? Downloading and Installing Picasa is an easy-to-use Windows installer. After launching the app, users can choose where Picasa downloads photos from their PCs: choose whether to search My Documents, My Photos and Desktop only, or search the entire computer. At this point, you can also use Picasa Image Viewer to view images directly from Windows Explorer. The viewer can open several types of files including .jpg, .bmp, .gif, .png, .tga, .tif and .TIFF, .webp and extensions. Picasa also lets you choose the drive and folders, and gives you the option to automatically sync every time you open the app. You don’t need to enter a new image. Once your photos are added to Picasa, they are organized into albums, which appear in folders with the same names as you.have taken. You can drag and drop photos to rearrange them and move them from one place to another. Picasa also allows you to add tags to your photos, so you can organize them easily, as well as add the photo capture area (although this should be done by hand these days). You can also tag people in the photos so you can find them. The Picasa look is simple and now it looks great. You can change the way images are displayed and easily switch between library view and edit view (available in the View menu). User interface tabs separate different projects from libraries and import sections. Fast, efficient, no editing Picasa is not professional editing software, but it does have a number of elements that you can use to make basic adjustments, be it frame by frame, side by side. or by sections. Improvements include cropping, straightening, automatic changes in lighting, color and contrast, sharpness, and red-eye adjustment. You can also use the fun and imported image processing options to apply filters. There are lots of fun filters available, all of which can be adjusted to make your photos look really good. Picasa is very easy to use for changing photo tooltips to make it look like you are hovering over the icon, while for more complex tools like removing and resetting red-eye, full instructions from the toolbar on the left side of the screen. Beginners need to pull themselves together to deliver beautiful enhanced images. There are some features built into Picasa so that you can use your photos to create banners, collages, screenshots, and videos. You can even use the old header from the Picasa app to create a gift CD by selecting images and burning them to a CD using a disc burner. We loved Picasa’s excellence in developing innovative projects. The software has easy to follow instructions and we were able to quickly upload videos of our photos and add audio and background edits. We liked that it was easy to adjust the video settings and adjust the length of the video to match the sound. Finally, Picasa also offers some very useful options for recognizing copied and empty albums and compressing your photo editing software. Picasa is a great way to organize your photo albums, take the first few pics of your photos, and create fun projects like videos and collages. In addition to being free, Picasa is spacious and accessible. It doesn’t offer a lot of advanced settings, but the editing tool is easy to use and fully customizable for users who want a little flexibility. The connection is intuitive and offers quick access to all the options of the application. Inexperienced users will benefit from the extensive support built into the app to help them better understand its services and how to use them.
